Securus Technology Defends Inaccurate Statements

In a recent article posted in PRN Newswire, Gym press issued a correction regarding inaccuracies that were posted on a previous article. According to Securus, there were multiple statements issued that were misleading and not factual. The basis of the report was regarding some patent litigation. According to Securus GTL was aware that patent litigations take several years to work out. Securus stated in the corrections that they do not know why GTL has decided to pursue legal action regarding patents and license agreements. It was stated that they were able to come to agreements previously regarding many of the same issues.

Richard A. Smith has stated that he has issued a technology “bake off challenge” to GTL but they have repeatedly refused to take part in such an event. He said his offer still stands if they ever change their mind. The headquarters for Securus Technologies is located in Dallas, Texas.
